En este trabajo se han determinado las diferencias entre los valores de la estimación de datos texturales y materia orgánica elaborados mediante dos métodos clásicos, el primero mediante modelización de variables ambientales, y el segundo a través de la asignación cartográfica de valores empíricos de erosionabilidad del suelo. También se han explorado las estimaciones de erosionabilidad de ambos métodos en base a su efecto sobre diferentes coberturas y usos del suelo, aplicando tres métodos de estimación del Factor K. Estos cálculos muestran que los índices de Römkens et al. y Wang et al. son más sensibles a la variabilidad del territorio, mientras que el índice de Torri et al. muestra una mayor estabilidad a las zonas de coberturas heterogéneas.
